Meet the maker

Hi, I'm Lucy, the artist behind Spark Real Joy.

I've always loved colourful paper and still have my childhood collection of fancy paper!

A while ago I started to tap back into my love of paper and a longheld desire to use my hands for creativity in a way that would bring me joy.

And so... Spark Real Joy was born!

Now I create handmade paper art and jewellery using an ancient technique called quilling.

This where I take individual strips of paper that I hand cut, roll and shape to create delicate designs. Each piece is slowly and carefully crafted.

Working with colour, paper and design has become my way to slow down, be present and tap into my creativity.

I hope my creations bring joy into your day too.

In 2026, I'll be launching more products and workshops where you can learn the mindful tecnhique of quilling for yourself.
